1. We now have a mobile phone for the group. 07950 378120. Adrian is owed £40 for the phone and credit. Andy has the phone.
2. Gail has completed the leaflet. Andy to copy them and place copies in the folder in the Sumac Centre by Saturday. Everyone to pick up some copies and distribute them. The mailing list was divided up between those present. We should also place leaflets in shops etc.
3. Patrick McNulty from New Basford Residents Action Group says he will distribute leaflets to their area - 500 homes. We will supply leaflets to them once the initial distribution has been completed.
4. Gail and Andy setting up a 'Community Direct Plus' account with the Co-op which will be free to operate. Adrian, Gail and Andy are significant members mentioned on the account. They and Lynn will be signatories to the account and cheque book. Residents Group will hold a meeting to formally approve giving us the money.
5. Adrian to write to the New Basford Business Park Association to find out their opinion on the closure.
6. Agreed that, despite the serious problems with Noel St revealed to us at our meeting with Nigel Hawkins, the group should press for either: decent provision if a new centre is built at Djanogly; Noel Street to remain open; or a different replacement for Noel Street in the local area.
7. Since we anticipate new members coming to the January meeting, we should think of ideas for positive action to get them involved in the campaign.
