Minutes of meeting Noel Street Baths Campaign of 10th November 2004

Present: Adrian, Helen, Gail, Andy, Lynn, Neil, Pat (Veggies), Patrick McN (New Basford Residents' Action Group)
Apologies: Nick W.

1. Received a response from Nigel Hawkins, with answers to many, but not all, our questions. Everyone to read and digest the letter. Enclosed a thick report on Leisure Centre provision written for the Executive Board. Also seems important decisions on Djanogly development will be made by March 2005 - we resolved to make ourselves heard in this process.

2. Agreed that we will meet Nigel Hawkins before the next meeting. Adrian to get in touch for some possible dates.

3. Gail presented draft of new leaflet. She will get a friend to DTP it by Friday 19th November. She will then hand it to Andy who will photocopy it 500 times. Leaflet will include dates of future meetings until March.

4. Everyone to distribute leaflet. Adrian to get addresses from mailing list and allot them in groups to people. Everyone to deliver some and find places to leave or display them.

5. Gail and Andy to get money from Residents' Group and to open bank account. They will supply a constitution to the Co-op Bank and act as signatories.

6. The mobile phone contact number is not working as it cannot receive messages if the SIM is not in actual phone. Adrian to try to contact holder of SIM (Nick?) and get him to contact Gail who may have a spare phone. If this does not work, we will buy a cheap Pay-As-You-Go mobile for the group. Leaflet cannot be printed until we can be sure of the mobile number for the group.

7. Noel Street showers still not working. Pool likely to close for another week for maintenance. More evidence of Council running the centre down and trying to deter people.

8. Adrian to update website with minutes, correspondence with Nigel Hawkins, dates of meetings etc.

9. Future meetings: December 8th 2004; January 12th 2005; February 9th 2005; March 9th 2005. All are Wednesdays. Meetings will be held at 7:30 in the Sumac Centre.
