Noel Street Leisure Centre
Noel Street Leisure Centre serves a disadvantaged, multicultural area of Nottingham. It offers a long main pool, shallow teaching pool, gym, sports hall, badminton courts, sunbeds and creche. The pool also offers access to schools, parties and activities for local children, fitness classes, swimming lessons and much more.The pool is easily accessible, particularly as it lies next to Nottingham's new tram network.
All this will be lost if the council carry out their plan to close the Leisure Centre, and there will be no similar facility within easy reach of local people.
Noel Street has suffered from years of neglect - no money has been invested, leaving it in a state of disrepair and needing a substantial refurbishment.
